Command-line usage
Besides using the app window, you can also use FlashDesk with commands. This is handy for setting up devices without a screen (such as a Raspberry Pi).
Set up this device
flashdesk --show-id
Shows this device's FlashDesk ID.
flashdesk --set-password
Sets the password for connections. You are asked to type it (what you type is not shown). Once set, connections are accepted with the password.
flashdesk --set-mode password|approve
Switches how connections are accepted.
• password: Accepts connections with the password.
• approve: Accepts connections after you approve them on this device.
Connect to another device
flashdesk --list
Shows the IDs and names of your saved connections.
flashdesk --connect <ID or saved name>
Starts screen sharing. You are asked for the password when one is needed.
flashdesk --send <ID or saved name> <file or folder>
Sends a file or folder. It goes to the same folder as when you send from the app window.
flashdesk --ssh <ID or saved name>
Connects to the other device with SSH. SSH must be allowed on the other device.
Help
flashdesk --help
Shows the list of available commands.
flashdesk <command> --help
Shows how to use that command (example: flashdesk --send --help).
